Website goes live!
Wednesday 4th February, 2015
We're delighted to be publicly launching the Climate Just website today 4th February in Bristol, at the conclusion of a series of five events around England. These events have been organised by Climate UK and are each hosted by the local climate change partnership. The Bristol event is being held at the Bristol Aquarium and is hosted by Climate South West. They are being joined by Katharine Knox, JRF, Juliette Daniels, Climate UK, Kit England, Core Cities Network and Jim Hodgson from the Environment Agency's Climate Ready service, with the event being chaired by Daniel Johns from the Adaptation Sub-Committee secretariat.
A big thanks to all the people who have participated in the user testing events in London and Leicester and the preview events in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Cambridge - your feedback has been invaluable in helping improve the website and map tool in time for today's launch.
And a huge thank you to all those individuals who've worked tirelessly on this project over the last year - Richard Kingston and Sarah Lindley at the University of Manchester and their colleagues who conducted much of the research work beforehand, Aleksandra Kazmierczak, Angela Connelly and John O'Neill; Kristen Guida, Juliette Daniels, Adrian Hilton, Carol Magras, Alex Hopkinson and Hannah Caplin at Climate UK; Chris Dessent and Andrew Young at Creative Concern, Rachel Walters at the Environment Agency, Rachel Brisley from JBA Consulting; Zoe Redgrove at the Centre for Sustainable Energy and of course Katharine Knox from JRF.
