First preview of revamped tool in Manchester
Thursday 12th October, 2017
The improvements to the Climate Just website and map tool that are currently underway will be previewed for the first time in Manchester on 10th November 2017 during the ESRC Festival of Social Science (4-11th November).
The event 'Adapting Greater Manchester - discover the new generation of climate adaptation resources!' takes place at the Nowgen Centre between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
The morning session provides an opportunity to hear about the latest developments regarding the tool, including from Prof Sarah Lindley (University of Manchester) and Paul Sayers (Sayers and Partners) who will talk about his latest research on present and future flood vulnerability. They will be joined by other members of the project team for a Q&A and wider discussion about climate justice.
After lunch (included) there will be an opportunity to individually preview the newly revised Climate Just tool, though note that numbers are limited due to the capacity of the computer training suite.
This is a free event and stakeholders are welcome to attend either or both of the sessions though booking is essential due to space limitations and catering ordering. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements in advance.
